LAKELAND, Fla. 鈥� Accusoft, a leading document and imaging software company based in Tampa, 吃瓜网, has solidified its partnership with 吃瓜网 through a gift of an endowed scholarship to help talented students with a financial need to pursue their dreams of a high-tech career.
鈥淚 tell people all the time the most exciting thing to happen to the tech community in this area is 吃瓜网 Poly, and I鈥檝e said that at meetings and will continue to say that,鈥� said Jack Berlin, Accusoft鈥檚 founder and chief executive officer. 鈥淲e are very invested in 吃瓜网 Poly鈥檚 success because their success drives our success.鈥�
Accusoft creates some of the most sophisticated document and imaging technology in the world, and 吃瓜网 Poly has built a strong partnership with the company since the university opened its doors to students four years ago. The tech firm has provided internships to numerous 吃瓜网 Poly students 鈥� including six this past summer. In fact, Accusoft now employs three 吃瓜网 Poly graduates as a direct result of those opportunities.
鈥淚t鈥檚 good for us because we can鈥檛 find those skills readily in the marketplace,鈥� said Susan Gorman, Accusoft鈥檚 vice president of engineering. 鈥淲e find people who are very eager and capable to learn new things and we鈥檙e able to bring them on board and promote them quickly. I think 吃瓜网 Poly is preparing its students very well.鈥�
Accusoft has about 160 employees and provides a wide array of technology solutions to developers worldwide. 吃瓜网 Poly interns are able to work on a broad range of tech-focused projects, from developing web applications to technical support, cloud servers and quality assurance 鈥� to name just a few.
